Optimize Your BrowserThis site has been tested on both Mozilla Firefox 2.0 and Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0. Versions higher than these also work. Other browsers and earlier versions of Firefox and Internet Explorer may not work. Various browsers (such as Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer) handle text fonts, colors, and graphics differently. Sometimes, even different versions of the same browsers will display objects differently. Not all browsers work optimally with our site, and even the most advanced browsers may require some fine-tuning to optimize the displays for your computer. If you have any problems, please consult your browser's help file or contact us. It is crucial that you have all of the following components enabled within your browser:
You may also choose to temporarily disable script debugging before you begin your assessment. To modify or enable these options, please go to "Tools - Internet Options" if you are using Internet Explorer, "Edit - Preferences" if you are using Netscape Navigator, or "Tools - Options" if you are using Mozilla Firefox. For help on what these settings do, or for more help on how to change them, please view the help file for your browser. You can download the latest version of Microsoft Internet Explorer & Mozilla Firefox from the links below. |

Disconnects & Service DisruptionsIf you experience a disruption of your Internet service while you are assessment, you should be able to re-enter the assessment you started. If you have begun a assessment, but not completed or scored it, you should still be able to have the assessment scored. Once you re-establish your connection to the Internet, reconnect to proveit.com and log in again with your assessment Session ID. Select the assessment that you had started prior to losing your Internet connection. In most cases, you should be able to re-enter the assessment at the point at which you lost connection without any loss of data or progress. However, due to the nature of some assessments whose questions must be answered in one sitting and in a sequential order (such as Typing or Data Entry assessments) you may have to begin your assessment again from the first question. |

Internet SpeedDepending on the time of day and the capability of your Internet Service Provider, you may experience delays in assessment. If possible, avoid taking assessments during periods of heaviest Internet usage, usually late afternoon and early evening. The quality and speed of your computer system and Internet connection will also affect the length of time it takes for each assessment question to load. If your assessment seems frozen between questions, please wait for at least thirty seconds before attempting to close the assessment. Also, you may wish to "Refresh" or "Reload" the assessment question page by using your browser's keyboard shortcut. This should advance you to the next question. |
